About Kolling Institute of Medical Research

The Kolling Institute of Medical Research is the oldest medical research institute in New South Wales and is located on the grounds of Royal North Shore Hospital. In 1995, the Kolling was established by Memorandum of Understanding as the Department of Molecular Medicine of the University of Sydney. It received accreditation from the National Health and Medical Research Council in 2000. Research is done in the areas of Cancer Genetics, Cell Growth, tests for new genetic disorders, renal medicine and perinatal medicine.
